Abstract/Summary:
TWDR has been proved to be very useful in both military and civil area. And as the rapid development of computer hardware and software, embedded system has become increasingly popular. The 32-bit ARM microcontroller family has the advantages of low power consumption, high performance and low cost, and Linux is one of the most widely used operating system. This makes the ARM&Linux development mode attracting great attention. In this thesis, an embedded system based TWDR (Through-the-Wall Detection Radar) was investigated and the software design under Embedded Linux OS was discussed. This thesis investigated the characteristic of ARM microcontroller family and Linux operating system, and proposed a design scheme of a S3C2410X microcontroller based TWDR. A data acquisition module and the peripheral circuit of this embedded system are discussed. After porting Linux operating system into S3C2410X microcontroller successfully, the working principle of the character device driver was investigated and some examples were proposed as well.
