Research And Development Of Intrusion Detection Device Based On Embedded Linux OS

With the continuous development of the computer, computer security has confronted very serious challenges, especially in the area of information security. In the course of the development of computer security, intrusion detection becomes more and more important, and emerges various research methods about the intrusion detection, such as pattern matching, neural network and so on, but these methods are only limited on the software level, that is, there's little research on hardware.There's little research on hardware in the course of the development due to the limitations of hardware, such as hardware resources are limited and it has low re-use rate. With the use of Linux operating system in hardware development, hardware development is proposed to a different direction. Linux system has the following advantages:smaller kernel, each module can be cut, flexible and so on. In the Linux system, a variety of drivers, various compilation tools and software and lots of other resources can be reused, this greatly reduced the labor cost and difficulty of hardware development, and hardware are used in a variety of applications.Each module can be cut in the Linux system. This advantage of Linux can separate the core code from the modules which can complete various functions,that is, you can add modules according to your needs and you can also remove the module you don't need.This advantage of Linux makes the development of hardware more flexible, and it makes the extension function of hardware development possible which make it like the development of software, that is, can add new features in the course of accomplishing the whole system, which in the hardware development called dynamic extension.So now in the course of the hardware development, the combination of microcontroller hardware and Linux in the product application achieved a wide range of development, and showed a trend of increasingly rapid pace of development.Dynamic expansion in the hardware development is a relatively new concept and has rarely used in the practical applications, especially in the development of intrusion detection hardware, and no made-up products. So the combination of Linux and microcontroller was studied in this paper, and it was used to complete the hardware development of intrusion detection and realize the dynamic expansion.Now computer has developed so fast that combining Linux with microcontrol-ler to complete special function has shown a surprising charm. Therefore, using that combination to accomplish this kind of job in microcontroller is a very good choice.
