With the developing of market economy, growing connection among companies and increasing social departments, Logistics industry has become a crucial part in national economy. Warehouse management, however, in the Logistics industry, has a significant influence on the efficiency and quality of logistics management. Log;istics development produce the concept of no stocks, logistics union and supply chain, which change the role of warehousing into producing better customer service by reducing transport time, lowering stocks and cost. To improve the warehousing efficiency involves not only scientific but also informational method.Among the warehousing management which applied informational method, the most complicated part is shelf policy, which decides the storage efficiency. And an appropriate method of goods storing is necessary for a company to reduce cost. GA, which simulates the natural evolution, as a random global probability optimization searching algorithm, has strong ability of global searching and is suitable for getting approximate most optimized answer, so it is a good way to solve the problems of shelf policy.This text according to the specific requirements of warehousing management, developed a warehousing management system based on J2EE framework and solved the shelf policy problem. This system was appreciated by some domestic well-known Logistics companies, so research, design and implementation method presented in this article is valuable for Logistics companies.
