Research On P2P Search Technology Base On JXTA

Allowing file exchange among the end client peers through Internet is the initial purpose of peer-to-peer. In the short history of P2P applications, it has become one of the main application types that consume a large fraction of Internet traffic. P2P architecture has begun to show its capability to support massive users, and this capability makes it suitable for rapidly deploying powerful and large-scale distributed applications with low cost.The advantage of the P2P technology is to develop the strong search tool. The P2P technology makes the users search document deeply, and this kind of search needn't through the Web Server, it also isn't limited by information document format and host device, so the much more deep than the traditional directory search resource can be reached. In peer-to-peer network nodes can join and leave freely and actively. It is a focus issue how to locate or lookup the resources so that we can make use of them.JXTA technology is a new kind of network technology that is proposed by Sun Microsystems Company in 2001. It is used to provide an infrastructure service for P2P application. JXTA is developed as a common flat on which peer-to-peer and distributed services and applications can be easily constructed. With the help of JXTA, the developer need not consider too much about how to resolve P2P computing technology, so they can concentrate on designing high-level application.Firstly, in this paper, the P2P technology was summarized, includes the definition of P2P, the difference between P2P mode and C/S mode, the characteristic of P2P, the applications and advantages using P2P technology in search.Secondly, the JXTA architecture of Sun company was analyzed and researched in-deep, the JXTA' three-layer architecture and the six protocols, which are the bases of the system design, was analyzed. The P2P search arithmetics were probed into class, there are some kind of P2P search arithmetics were researched and analyzed, then points out their advantage and disadvantage. At last, base on the JXTA architecture, designs and realizes share resource search network, realizes the share, search and download in P2P network, and points out the shortage in the system designing, and points out the prospect of the subject for the future.
