Design And Implementation On DTG North Seeker System Based On DSP

Inertial north-fording is important part of inertial technology field, is one of the important safeguard technologies to ensure weapon system beat the target quickly,mobile, and precisely in modernize war. Even in the life and practice of people, the information of geographical north is essential too. So it is essential to do research on the north-seeking system.The north-seeker is a kind of inertial instrument. By gyro and accelerator, it measures the angular speed of Earth rotation and the acceleration of gravity, then the angle between the reference axis of carrier and the true north is resolved through computations. Through the imposition of torque spindle to make the gyroscope turn to the true north direction and realize the north-seeking function.The main north-seeking devices discussed in this paper equip the DTG as sensitive equipment. DTG, as precision inertial sensor, used in North Finder system can realize North Finder function independently in the absence of any external location information, also work for a long time with high precision.The primary role of navigation computer of the north-seeker system is to controlling and solution. In order to improve the control and operation speed, the dissertation uses DSP 5402 as the main processor to construct the computer platform of the north seeker. TMS320VC5402, the DSP, as an special digital signal processor, has high operation speed and precision, and it make the operation of complicated mathematics in north-seeking system more easy with all these advantages. Using VC5402 as the core, CPLD as the main assistant element in charge of control, this project designed and debugged the hardware and software consisting of data collection, processing and output, the communication. The result is good.
