As a kind of inertial instrument, the north-seeker uses inertial principle and has the general merit of inertial instrument. Its function is obtain geographic north and local latitude value through seeks surveys under vehicle maintains static. The north-seeker is a kind of independent position indicating system possessing such character as not relying on the outside information, not rediating energy, not easily disturbed by enemy. The north-seeker can fast precisely determine geographic north under all-weather environment, and especially suitable for the high mobile field operation environment, thus confroms to the modern warfare requirement.In the north-seeker system, computer platform using PC/104 have the merit of interface convinent ,programing simple, but big volume, high energy consumption ,interface simple limit its performance. Compared with PC/104, the ARM chip has incomparable merits. Such as, low power consumption, interface rich, high integration, easily controlling. So, this dissertation uses LPC2292 of ARM chip series to construct the computer platform of the north seeker. The thesis first concentrates on the theoretical analysis of the north seeker, then analysis the hardware design of computer platform in detail, after that ,the process and method of porting the embeded realtime operating system μC/OSⅡ to lpc2292 is given. Finally the thesis discusses the task programing method in uC/OS II system.
