As a kind of inertial instrument, The function of the north-seeker is to obtain geographic north and local latitude value through seeks surveys under vehicle maintains static using inertial principle. The north-seeker is a kind of independent position indicating system possessing such character as not relying on the outside information, not rediating energy, not easily being disturbed while working by enemy, not being fallen under ambient interference like magnetic field, not being spied on by enemy. The north-seeker can fast precisely determine geographic north under all-weather environment, and especially suitable for the high mobile field operation environment, thus confroms to the modern warfare requirement.Using the high performance and rich interface of ARM sufficiently, we design the soft/hard ware of the north-seeker computer system over again on the base of using PC/104 as processor before. Compared with PC/104, the ARM chip has incomparable merits such as low power consumption, high integration, easily migrating, and rich peripheral interface module. By testing the circiut, the computer platform constructed by LPC2292 of ARM chip series has the merit of stabilizatio,trustiness and low power consumption.The thesis first concentrates on the theoretical analysis of the north-seeker, then analysis the soft/hardware design of computer platform in detail. After that, the method of how to construct the computer system using LPC2292 of ARM chip series and how to gather the attitude angle, then the realization of communicating between north-seeker and main control computer through serial-port is given. Finally, the process and method of porting the embeded realtime operating systemμC/OSⅡto lpc2292 are shown.
