VxWorks system is widely used in many fields due to its good performance in reliabilityand real-time. As an indispensable device in ocean navigation, integrated navigation displayand control platform aslo uses VxWorks system. Electronic charts play an important role inMaritime operations, route planning, inquiry of the marine environment elements and etc, andthe integrated navigation display and control platform often has network communicationswith electronic chart server to transfer chart data information and exchange information. Thisthesis studies visual file transfer system based on VxWorks for the needs of informationexchange between both.File transfer system designed in this thesis adopts File Transfer Protocol. Inconsideration of the protocol’s application background, large storage space and longtransmission of electronic charts as well as VxWorks’ lacking security mechanisms in networktransmission, the designed file transfer system not only performs basic file transfer functionand supports broken-point continuingly-transferring to improve transmission efficiency andsystem reliability, but also has secure transmission module and provides information securitymeasures in network file transfer. In addition, this thesis applies graphical user interface inFTP system to achieve interaction between integrated navigation display and control platformand electronic chart server.File transfer system using File Transfer Protocol. This design not only perform basic filetransfer function, supports broken-point continuingly-transferring which improve thetransmission efficiency and system reliability, but also provide secure transmission module asinformation security measures in network file transfer, taking into account electronic chartwith the large amount of information occupies much storage space and VxWorks’ lack ofsecurity mechanisms in network transmission. Graphical user interface is designed in bothFTP client and server for human-computer interaction in addition.This thesis firstly introduces the relevant technical knowledge and background, such asFTP implementation mechanism, information security technology for secure transmissionmodule; Secondly, it introduces the overall framework of the design. In accordance withexperimental requirements, this thesis chooses corresponding hardware and softwaredevelopment platforms and determines the file transfer system’s four basic functions:common transferring, broken-point continuingly-transferring, information security and visualinteraction. Then, the thesis provides plans to achieve the four functions. It determines Socket mode based on VxWorks’ network development techniques and designs implementationprogram and the relevant file storage solution to achieve broken-pointcontinuingly-transferring. Moreover, to ensure the security and consistency of datatransmission, it designs module function standards in secure transmission mechanism andchooses the specific encryption algorithm to realize the two standards. Finally, with the helpof GUI of file transfer system designed by Tilcon tools, the thesis tests the functions of thedesign in accordance with human-computer interaction.The results of this thesis is based on VxWorks’ visual file transfer system. Intransmission efficiency and information security, the experiments and function tests arepassed. Therefore, this thesis has reference and application value for file network transmissiondesign in the embedded operating system.
