With all kinds of new technologies especially information technology widely used in meteorological domain, meteorological department produces massive specialized data, which having magnanimousness, complexity and spatial characteristics. Through thorough analysis the meteorological service find that management pattern based on files cannot satisfy the need to effective analysis and highly effective management the meteorological service's data by far, and traditional data format causes the data exchange to be complex, management inconveniently and the data utilization ratio is low. How to realize data fast exchange and resources sharing based on network and how to store the magnanimous data in spatial database in a reasonable and effective way, become the urgent question to be solved. This impels to realize radar text translation, explanation and standardized expression, and prepares for anglicizing and designing spatial database and the spatial data storage for the meteorological service data in an earlier period.My research work processes the data mainly is the meteorological space data, weather radar data in particular. Firstly, translates radar text which originally exists in binary mode to a certain form understandable text document by the radar data analysis, the coordinate system transform and text translation. Secondly, designs the radar space database based on radar data analysis. Thirdly, extracts the spot data which the latitude and longitude position corresponds the location of unattended station in the radar scan scope from the radar text document, and stores these data to the radar spatial database. Fourthly, using the spatial interpolation method to process the lack measured or wrong measured data which exist in the database possibly could cause problems to the later data analysis and processing work, and does a series of optimized work to the database to guarantee increasing data quantity cannot affect the spatial database response time to users' service request.
