With the development of the spatial data collection tools, a huge amount of spatial data has been stored in spatial databases, geographical information systems database, or other datasets. Efficient storage, management and available use of Massive spatial data have been important.The traditional data warehouse is limited when working with the spatial data. First, the mass of spatial data and the hierarchies in spatial dimensions can be numerous. Secondly, spatial measure can not be supported in traditional data warehouse, in which way spatial characters are discarded.So, the spatial data warehouse should be built to solve the challenges caused by the storage, analysis and use of spatial data. Based on the background of the Shanghai underground information platform and the characteristics of the spatial data, the underground spatial data warehouse has been designed and implied in which to get the efficient data organization and efficient indexing. By working with the spatial data, useful information can be used to support the decision making. The following work is studied in details.First, study of the key Theory and Main Technology for spatial warehouse.Second, design and establish of the spatial data warehouse.From the data organization, analysis and data mining, based on the Shanghai spatial data warehouse, the thesis studies the data model, spatial ETL, and other technology. The followings have been solved in the paper.First, designing of the spatial data model, establishment of spatial ETL system and the data integration is completed.Second, the efficient OLAP is completed.Third, useful information is mined from spatial data by spatial association and spatial aggregating.The paper can offer some reference sense to the building of spatial data warehouse, which is a part of the project of "The Building of Under ground space Information System in Shanghai".
