Fortified girder of longeron belongs to automobile panel, with large dimensions and complicated shapes, whose forming process is hard to determine. Therefore, the effects of pressure and geometry size of drawbeads to the girder's final quality are studied for the sake of improving the part's intensity and saving material. The best combination of the technical parameter is explored in order to shape up the desired part. The research of automobile numerical simulation and the effect of the technical parameters on the process of sheet metal forming are very important in the stamping industry, especially in auto panel designing and manufacturing.In virtue of the reverse engineering(RE) technology, computer aided design(CAD) technology and computer aided engineering(CAE) technology , which are widely used in the field of automobile design and manufacture, we can get the CAD model of the object quickly, and then establish the CAE model. The principle of finite element partitioning, the selection of constitutive relation and the disposal of technical condition are discussed in detail.While analyzing the technology of the part's formation, original formatting processes are simulated by CAE technology firstly, and the results of numerical simulation are contrasted with the ones of objects, both of which are used to prove the reliability and validity of the way of numerical simulation. Then we improve on the way of formatting pertinently, depending on the causations of deficiencies of original formatting processes. The effect laws were summarized that include five key technical parameters (pressure, height of drawbead, coping circular of drawbead, gap of mould, die profile radius), based on numerical simulation. In the simulation of drawbeads, combined with characteristic of drawing resistance pressure and geometry size of drawbeads, we should distribute drawing resistance pressure firstly, and then make sure geometry size of drawbeads secondly, ensuring both efficiency and accuracy. At last, the optimum solutions of technical parameters have been found by use of orthogonal test, and the part we need has taken shape.
