The Implement Technology Of Savant Middleware In The EPC Network Based On The Grid

When economic globalization and network of information develop very quikly, the EPC (Electronic Product Code) system that based on the computer network makes used of new technic such as the RFED (Radio Frequency Identification) and data communication makes up a global merchandise information sharing network. It will be the new technic that renovates the retail reckoning, Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Manufacture Track Management following the bar code technic.The EPC system is a compositive and complicated system. The objective of it is built up the global and on-limits identification and standard for every goods. The Savant middleware is a very important component of the EPC system; it is the hinge that connects the EIS (Enterprise Information System) and the network of merchandise circulation, it could be an agent that could provide a series of compute function. The Savant middleware could take some operations on the data of label such as filtrate, transform and compress, before send the data to the enterprise application.At present, every SP (Service Provider) just provides the single solution based on the requirements. But it hasn't any SP or Lab.provides the solution for the Savant foundation and makes it sustain building the Savant system.This thesis combines the Grid and the Savant middleware; it makes some innovations on the idear of building the Savant system and the technic of it. It provides the solution for the Savant middleware foundation and strives for solving as many problems as possible of the Savant system achievement.The Grid is a group of jumped-up technics. It integrates the high-speed network, high-powered computer, large data base, sensors and costly devices. It makes us to use those resources transparent and get the information by our requirements. The Grid could manage the network very effectually, it could integrate the resources that in the different location and build an information system, fictively but strong.This thesis will base on the specification of the EPC network, and study the architecture, the main function, the business process and the detail work principle of the Savant middleware. It will combine the Grid technic and bring forward a new solution of the Savant middleware in the EPC network and it narrates the archievement of this solution very detailly. At the end of this thesis, it presents some of the testings and experiments bases on the key technic of the Savant middleware. Bases on the actual system testing, the result presents the Savant middleware in the EPC Network based on the Grid technic keeps to the Savant specifications and provides the good surport for buiding up the Savant system.
