The dissertation is aimed at the designing a sensitive, credible and prompt ECT/EVTof wide rang of frequency and amplitude which is composed partly of software. ECT is sowidely used in experiments of both military and civil as electromagnetic launch, servomechanism current testing and electric power testing. Usually traditional instruments arefairly incommodiousness, just fit for a little proportion of all the experiments, and littlecapacity of signal processing.Thus, the ECT is based on Rogowski coil as the sensor and virtual instrument as thesignal processing software. The working theories and the two possible working states havebeen analyzed, and a practical designing principal is given. New schemes and a chart forthe coil designing have been advanced. A program for designing has been written, thedimensions of which is given and errors are analyzed. Two Rogowski coils with differentframeworks of different materials have been made. And the following experiments arecarried out:1) A backward wound coil, showing backward winding will help defending disturb.2) Current disturbing experiment, parallel and plumb, knowing the distance andpositions easily disturbed.3) Linearity testing showing that the coil works pretty well.Through output simulating of the coil, circuits for inputting, outputting, integral andamplifying have been designed. At last a program has been written by LabVIEW. ARogowski coil together with the analogy signals processing circuits, a DAQ card and theLabVIEW program compose a whole ECT.
