A design o f digital video collector, communication, replay system with wavelet, Itcovers both hard ware design and software design.The design of hardware including: A Digital Video Codec/Decodec chip(ADV611)produced by AD Inc. based on Wavelet transform; A USB controller (PIDUSB12)collecting the compressed Digital Video signal; A Spread Spectrum Platform (AT-340DSH)sending/receiving the Spread Spectrum signal; and a DSP chip controlling all the system.The design of software including: MAXPLUS designing the CPLD's inner logical circuit;CCS(Code Composer Studio) Debugging the program of the DSP system.An advantage o f wavelet-based Video compression is that it offers more gracefulimage degradation at high compression ratios, and it also eliminates the block effect seenin DCT compression. The wireless channel based on Spread Spectrum modulation canassure the digital Video signal communication safe and withstanding the high noisedisturbing condition. Additionally, the high flexibility USB plug-and-play interface makesthis Video collector very easy-of-use.
