Realization And Application In The Official Document Management System Of The Police Department Based On The PDF417 2-D Bar Code

At present, the technology of bar code is the most economical and themost practical automatic identification technology. The wide application ofbar codes in every walk of life speeds up the data collection andinformation process, and it contributes a lot to the modernization ofadministration and the science of management. The PDF417 is the mostwidely used among the bar codes.For long, the official document management is done by hand. So, it islow-efficiency and wastes a lot of human resource and fmancial resourceetc. The PDF417 two-dimensional bar code official document managementsystem makes the official document management more scientific, morestandardized and more automated. It improves the efficiency of documentcirculation and makes it more convenient. The aim of this paper is the implementation of the PDF417 two-dimensional bar code arithmetic and the application of it in the officialdocument management system of the police department. First, it showssome basic knowledge and characteristic of bar code and the application of2-D bar code at home and abroad. Then, it introduces the encodingprinciples, methods of design and specific steps of the PDF417 2-D barcode in detail. Finally, it presents the overall design and function of theofficial document management system of the police department based onthe PDF417 2-D bar code.
