Two-dimensional Barcode Encoding And Decoding Technology, Computer Realization

Bar code technology developed to a new technology based on the technology of computer and information, including encoding, print, recognizing, data acquisition and processing. Barcode must be mentioned if infer to auto recognizing, then it took a important role in present auto recognizing. The form of auto recognizing is tied up with the origination, application and development.With the development of technology,the one dimensional barcode barcode can no longer meet the society's need because of its limitary information capacity and dependence on the database. So two dimensional barcode came into use. Two-dimensional barcode has so many advantages such as cheapness, portable information, conserved, anti counterfeit, not rely on internet and database. So PDF417 is the most widely applied in so many two dimensional barcodes.This paper researched principle of encoding and decoding, the principle of error correcting code,image gather and recognition used in PDF417.Then research of how to realize two-dimensional bar code PDF417 base on some encoding and decoding algorithm of three compact mode.Then designed a applied program to achieve that.Experiment show that the two dimensional barcode recognition system is satisfactory when dealing with standard ASCII PDF417 barcode.
