This paper analyzes the actuality and problem of remote image monitoring systembased on Internet, and then introduces the development of the image monitoring system.Based on this, makes further researches into the structure and method of control of theremote image monitoring system based on Intemet.Comparing the differences among several key technology-image sensor(CCD imagesensor and CMOS image sensor), condensing algorithm(JPEG, MPEG and H.263) andDSP(general DSP and special DSP),and make a choice with the synthetic consideration offollowing factors: the cost, the complexity of the development and production, etc.This paper analyzes in detail the monitor, the important part of this system. Gives theconcrete designs from the integral structure and flow of the monitor to every code of theinstruction format. Introduces the chip selection and the register assignment of the cameramodule, network module and storage module, also gives the main schematic diagram andsome software code. And then, discusses the infrared code of the controller design, suchas the type, format and method of the identifying and storing. After that, elaborates thedesign of the RS-485 bus connecting the monitor and the controller, and takes somepractical measures to improve the reliability and fault tolerant.In the designing of the application of the monitoring host, uses the Visual C++6.0 asthe developmental tool. Introduces the application's implement at the networkcommunication and image display, designs the Simple user-interface to realize higherman-machine interaction.Finally, this paper analyzes several possible factors that could effect the systemperformance, and introduces several ideas and methods to improve the systemperformance relatively, then postulates the P2P technology's application in the remoteimage monitoring system, theoretically.
