The Chu's Bamboo Slips of Warring States from Shanghai Museum(Vol.Ⅴ) is the study object of this thesis, in which the bamboo slips about Ana of Confucius, Ji Kangzi Wen Yu Confucius(季庚子问於孔子), Jun Zi Wei Li(君子为礼), Di Zi Wen(弟子问)are re-arranged, proofread and annotated. By listing various annotations to these bamboo slips, this paper gives a comparison between them and suggests the best one to follow. Besides, this paper manages to interpret the obscure parts of these bamboo slips on the basis of the ancient literature and with the application of the science of history and the study of ancient Chinese characters. As for the unsolved problems, doubts are raised for further discussion. The four purposes of this thesis are, first, to synthesize various interpretations and select the more reasonable ones. Based on the collection of the papers related to these bamboo slips, this thesis intends to provide a research reference for scholars; second, to rearrange the order of these bamboo slips. Absorbing the results of all kinds of relative research, this thesis offers readjustment of the slip order to some extent. And by comparison of different sayings, the author puts forth some new and original thoughts on certain obscure expressions. Such as the annotations to[Zu] Wu Gao([足]毋高), Shen Zhi Yi De(身之以德),Gua Wen Ze Yi(寡闻则(?)), ect.; third, to collect the information about Chinese etiquette in ancient times and verify the anecdotes in history, such as Guan Se(观色), Bian Yin Zhi Shi(辨音知事), and Qu Boyu Shi Confucius(蘧伯玉侍孔子), so as to provide some background about the bamboo slips for the readers; four, to present a general picture of the Ana of Confucius on the bamboo slips for the sake of the readers' convenience.
