Abstract With widening of MCU application, people raise the new requirements to MCU interfaces and development method. In hardware, traditional interface chips in existing MCU cannot support the new requirement completely. In software, MCU puts the assmble language as its development platform which has more weakness such as long development cycle, high development costs, big bulk and uneasy to upgrade. So it is so limited to either in function or in means to develop MCU application system with traditional interfaces and development method.The purpose of the study is to introduce a new type of interface to MCS-51 for experimental teaching, and designs the MCS-51 expetimental system with new interface.The system uses the MCS-51 as the processor, since most of the college cources teaches MCU still based on MCS-51. The teaching based on traditional interface and development means can not meet the current requirements of the development. Therefore this paper, the MCS-51 experimental systems, not only retains the traditional matrix keyboard, switch , LED display components but also raises the Ethernet, I~2C bus, SD cards and other new types of interface, which good to meet MCU teaching contents and actual demands.This paper focuses on the experimental system Ethernet interface design and the specific method, while I~2C interface, SD Card principle and MCS-51 connection method are also introduced. These new interfaces learning enhances the practicality and replicability of teaching contents which makes teaching better adapted to the new requirements.
