Reliability and stability is the basic requirements to storage system. With the rapid increasing of users and the explosive growth of data, Single point of failures and performance bottlenecks takes place traditional storage programs. This thesis puts out a new storage method -IND storage system to solve the normal disadvantages of the traditional storage programs .IND storage system is a new storage method, which is founded by the State Science Foundation and the Hunan Science Foundation .It is greater valuable to study IND's key technologies.Firstly, the thesis analyses traditional storage method, draws a conclusion that the most important reason of single point of failure and function bottleneck is their architecture. This thesis proposes a newstorage method -IND storage system. IND storage system uses anopen architecture. The whole system is made of lots of IND unit with same structure based on embedded system,Just like a logic disk through virtual storage technology. The thesis sketchily designs the function modules of the IND system, describes its function modules and the working principle of the IND Storage System. It is a kind of storage scheme with great potential. Furthermore the thesis designs IND system's hardware platform, and analyses the construction principle of IND Storage System based on the embedded hardware platform and the Disk Interface theory. According to these, the thesis designs the system's core circuit by S3C44B0X chip, expands the system solid-state memory and program memory, achieves IND storage system's network access circuit based on RTL8019AS, and realizes system's IDE interface circuit. Finally, the thesis designs IDE disk's driver and network's driver. These make data transmission freely.The thesis's research and design overcomes the shortages of the performance bottleneck and single point of failure of traditional storage system, proposes a new IND storage system architecture, constructs IND Storage System hardware platform, and also designs its driver. It is the base of furthermore study.
