The Research And Implementation Of Real-Time Billing Management System For VOD

In recent years, video-on-demand system (VOD) has caught more and more public attention and made great progress in theory and technology. As a necessary part of VOD, billing management system has played an important role in the development of VOD. In order to refine the billing management system, this paper sums up the criteria of some important kinds of VOD and analyses the requisite function of the billing management system, based on which this paper designs a real-time billing management system of VOD.The research work includes:Discusses the existing billing criteria in general and compares its advantages and disadvantages through the theoretical analyses, and then chooses one method as the billing criterion of this paper.According to the customer demands of VOD, this paper features the characteristic of real-time billing and defines its corresponding functions, and completes the structural frame of the whole system by modularizing the system following the software engineering standards in the process of system realization. The system has been checked in the laboratory test system and proved to be stable achieving the expected aim.
