XML is a data-oriented marked criterion, which is different from HTML. XML could exactly explain the meaning of data. By virtue of its extensibility, self-description, structuralization and communication without being influenced by transporting protocols of XML documents, thus XML has been becoming to be one of the most important data-exchange technologies in the enterprise or between enterprises. As a result, the problems of XML data's security, such as confidentiality, integrality, authenticity, undeniableness and etc., have being paid more and more attentions nowadays. These XML-Security problems are detailedly described in this paper. The characteristics and security techniques of XML are systematically analyzed, contrasted with other traditional security techniques. Simultaneously, a new scheme is to be designed for the XML's safe transmission based on investigating its encryption and its signature. In this scheme, the confidentiality of data, the integrality of data, and the authenticity and undeniableness of data are respectively guaranteed by mixing the symmetrical encryption and unsymmetrical encryption and using the method of mixed encryption, applying information digest and XML signature. In addition, the transmission scheme of XML data's security, applied in RFID card system, is to be designed and fulfilled. This scheme will guarantee the security of transmission not only end-to-end, but also between hops in RFID card system. Furthermore, it would provide well protection of XML's data and achieve the goal of high security standard.
