FBA is a new high-speed network architecture based on fast circuit switching with bandwidth reservation and support for dynamic reallocation for bandwidth. FBA is designed to use time-division multiplexing of channels for real-time multimedia application and for computer communication.This thesis discusses the basic communication theory and key technical factors which effect the next generation Access Network, research on the Fast Bandwidth Adaptation Network. And an analysis and comparison among the resource manegment mechanism for currently communication network indluding ATM Ehernet IP Grid and FBA is elucidated. In order to design an resource management adaptable for FBA, the author do a deep research on the resource management of FBA, include the bandwidth reservation, bandwidth distribution, dynamic resource allocation, slot reuse and error management. Based on the theory investigation, the author designed an resource management of FBA based on the FBA emulator, and realize the agent processor and controller in the resource management, the module supplement the emulator of the FBA, supply for the deeper research on FBA in future.
