Design And Implementation Of Data Extract And Transform Sub-System Of Business Analysis System In CRBT Platform

Color Ring Back Tone (CRBT) Service is a feature to enable a calling subscriber to hear a music tone, instead of the old-fashioned ring-back tone, while waiting for the called subscriber to answer the call. Relied on novelty and personalized service feature, CRBT service has developed rapidly.Business Analysis Support System (BAS) is an assistant decision-making computer application system. BAS extracts base-data from all kinds of running system of telecom operation, produce topic-oriented Data warehouse through data extracting, transform and loading. Meanwhile, BAS presents various and flexible report-forms through foreground present tools, hence provides multi-dimensional, integrated and efficient data analysis and provides support for market decision management and keeping.As an increasingly important contributor of ARPU, CRBT service weighed so highly in new profit increase for telecom operators that operators made a point of developing it. However, after several years of development, the subscribers become familiar with the service and pay less and less attention to it. The favorable prospect and matter-confronted actuality of CRBT service impels the operators to make subscriber-partition, subscriber-behavior-analysis and purposeful sales promotion, etc. Various factors make the operators eager to bring CRBT service into analysis category.The article describes the design and implementation of the data extract and transform sub-system by introducing the entire procedure of original data extracting and target data producing, and explains the amelioration of the process.In chapter one, the article introduces CRBT service and BAS system firstly, then describes the specialty of CRBT service and vast data and brings out the demand of the data extract and transform sub-system in CRBT platform. Then in chapter two, it explains the general project of interface system and how to implement the data extract and transform sub-system. Chapter three describes the designing and implementation procedure of original data extracting, includes three different schemes and their contrast. Chapter four, the focus of this paper, describes the designing and implementation procedure of target data producing. This part focuses on flexibility and efficiency, the article explains the procedure covering table pre-handling, data extracting, data filtrating and cleaning, data transformation and file creating amelioration of the process. We also introduce how to improve performance by using Hash table dealing with table join. In the last chapter, the article summarizes the whole system and discusses the further job might to do.
