Wireless Sensor Network(WSN) is made by the convergence of Micro-Electro Mechanical technology, wireless communication , embedded technology and sensor technology. It has a wide application future. It is extraordinarily limited in resource. The all-important aim of design of WSN is to reduce the overall energy dissipation of the network and maximize the network lifetime.In this paper, the energy saving strategy of routing protocol is analyzed. To improve energy savings of the Directed Diffusion (DD) on the information of the data of exploratory, a routing protocol of WSN(GET: Gradient Energy Threshold) is produced.Based on the interest propagation and cache, gradient creation and update, good path selection and data propagation, making use of the gradient energy threshold control the routes. The gradient pauses when the threshold of the energy is below the set value. Reduces the amount of the information of the exploratory and saves the energy to increase the lifetime of the network. The research proves that the time, the number of nodes, the threshold of energy and the interval of time of the threshold affect the performance of the energy savings. Simulate the performance of the routing protocol of GET under the NS2. The simulation is carrying out when the number of nodes, the threshold of energy and the interval of time of the threshold are altered. The result proves that GET achieves energy savings compared with the DD and increases the lifetime of the network. |
