IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) is the IP-based new generation telecom network defined by the 3GPP.IMS uses the mechanism which separate the control and the load bearing, the control and the service, so the network capabilities are strengthened greatly. IMS supports fixed and mobile access and drive the fixed mobile convergence. IMS will become the core technology for next generation telcom network, however, the present research are chiefly aim at the IMS function entities and interface, rather than the effective management to this new telecom network. The objective of this paper is to research the IMS related characteristic and to provide a solution to facilitate the design and realization of network management system that can access the operator's present supporting system.Beginning with search background, this paper introduced the IMS's protocol and structure, and the related technology about network management.TMN, the Telecommunication Management Network's abbreviation, is a international standard about telcom network management specified by ITU-T, and it is still improved continuously by the enterprise and organization for standardization. TMN can afford the management of telecom network and service and the capability of communication with them. This paper analyses the characteristic and function requirement of IMS network management based on TMN, after that, the design and implementation with CORBA technology and test case are given. Based on the test result, this paper deduces a conclusion that the system is available in practice. The paper divides into seven chapters: First chapter, introduces research background; Second chapter, a comprehensive idea of IMS and related network management technology is given, including network architecture, protocol, pros and cons of the technology, and basic concept about network management, distributed object technology and so on; Third chapter, briefly introduces the TMN standard, the TMN system structure ,and the benefit of using TMN; Fourth chapter, illustrates the software architecture of network management system and module function; Fifth chapter, describes the network management system's realization method; Sixth chapter, the test case is provided; The present paper finally briefly pointed out the network management system's function needs further research. |
