| Intelligent Vehicle Security Inspection System is a new developing aspect of intelligent visual surveillance technology in vehicle security inspecting domain. According as the technique of computer, intelligent control, electronics and communications is developing rapidly today, visual surveillance system is becoming more and more intelligent, digital and networking. Image compression and transmission are two of the main factors that influence the developing speed of visual surveillance system. So it is great meaningful to study on image compression and network communication in Intelligent Vehicle Security Inspection System.Firstly, this paper expatiates on the importance of researching and developing a vehicle security inspection system and analyzes the problems with the existing techniques at automobile chassis imaging. Secondly, aiming at these problems and combining with the traits of Intelligent Vehicle Security Inspection System, this paper presents an automobile chassis imaging scheme based on line-scan imaging camera. Thirdly, this paper lays a strong emphasis on the process of JPEG still image compression algorithm and the elements of its every step. Also, the implementation of the JPEG algorithm in Intelligent Vehicle Security Inspection System and the optimizing scheme is discussed in the paper. Fourthly, the communication programming technology that based on client/server network model, the standard TCP/IP protocol programming interface on Windows platform, Winsock and multi-thread program developing is discussed. The implementation method of image data transmission across LAN in Intelligent Vehicle Security Inspection System is presented. At the last part of this paper, the hardware and software platform of Intelligent Vehicle Security Inspection System is described as the result of researching on this system.Validity and practicability of above contents are already proved by practice applications. It is a useful experiment for automobile chassis imaging and image data real-time transmission. It lays good foundations for our researching project. |
