Now in China, Most inspection on antifalsifiaction paper security thread is mademanually. The inspection is slow and easy to make mistake. In this paper, areal-time inspect method which is based on the machine vision technical has beenput forward, this method is low-cost and high-performance. We have researchedon the frame of the inspection system, how to get the high-quality image andthe real-time image processing arithmetic. In china, the problem of real-timeinspection of antifalsifiaction paper security thread has been successfullysolved for the first time. The system has the features like real-time online,high-speed, no contact, automatic inspetion.This paper has discussed the next points:(1) The research on the frame of a type of machine vision system which basedon line-scan camera.(2) The lighting method which is fit to the holographic windowed security threadthat used in antifalsifiaction paper and the way to get high-quality image.(3) Image processing arithmetic such as thresholding, model match, Blobanalysis and edge detection.In this paper, author proved the feasibility of using the machine vision systembased on line-scan camera to inspect the holographic windowed security threadthat used in antifalsifiaction paper.
