Fiber Bragg grating is one of the passive devices of optic fiber with the fastest developing speed in recent years. The Bragg grating is made on the fine core of optic fiber directly. It is small and it has the definite wavelength of centre. Bragg reflect wavelength can temperature, characteristic that physical quantity modulate of meeting an emergency etc., the extensive one is applied to the fields, such as optic fiber sensing ,etc.The fiber Bragg grating sensor is a new-type sensor of transmission regarding optic fiber as the carriers that measure and transmit the physical quantities. It has many advantages. For example, it is good, small and light. It doesn't change sensitively for the environment and it is able to bear pressing high, resisting the electric magnetic field. It is insulating, and has high SNR and sensitivity. It also can be regarded as the sensing component and transmitted media at the same time. It is apt to realize distributed measurement and it is easy to transmit remotely. However, the fiber Bragg grating sensing technology is a kind of new developing sensing technology appearing in recent years. There are a lot of respects needed to be further researched and improvement.The electric current sensor has the irreplaceable position on the measurement of the electric current in the power system. The capacity of the modern power system is increasing constantly, and systematic electric current value is increasing constantly. Traditional electric current sensor is difficult to meet demands of power system development. The fiber Bragg grating current sensor will become the most advantage substitute of the traditional electric current sensor. The research of the fiber grating current sensor technology is launched generally.This text introduced the current situation of domestic and international fiber current sensor development at first, and then it studied the fine characteristics and weak points of present various kinds of optic fiber electric current sensors. After that it introduced the basic characteristic of the fiber Bragg grating and manufacturing methods. It analyzed about sensing principle and demodulation principle of the fiber electric current sensor especially on this basis. It had summarized several common kinds of the demodulation method of the wavelength at present. Then it proposed the design of a kind of new optic fiber electric current sensor the advantage is that it should be designed lies in especially suitable for and used for measuring the situation of the big electric current of high pressure.On the basis of the theory, the relevant simulation experiment had been done. We use many circles of little current simulating the one circle of great electric current measurement. And then I deal the experimental data using origin7.0.the experimental result had verified the feasibility that such new optic fiber electric current sensor of this text put forward is designed.Finally, I summarized all work done and the pluses and minuses of a design plan on the basis of experimental result, and look forward to its application prospect.
