With the development of electric power industry, traditional current sensor are not satisfied of the requirement of technique. Fiber current sensor will substitute for tradition current sensor, due of its good electric insulation, small volume and high sensitivity. In many countries, research on fiber current sensor is development quickly.Fiber Bragg grating is produced in fiber core. It has small volume and Bragg reflect wavelength can be modulated by temperature, strain and so on. So it is widely used in fiber sensor field.The giant magnetostrictive material is a new type of magneto-mechanical energy conversion material. It has giant magnetostrictive strain, high power density, high electromechanical coupling coefficient, high response speed and high force output.In our experimentation, we combine fiber Bragg grating with Tb-Dy-Fe single crystal, we can measure the current which produces the magnetic field when we measure the shift of Bragg wavelength because of magnetostrictive strain of Tb-Dy-Fe single crystal in magnetic field, we also study the relation between bias field, strain of current sensor. During this process we find the optimum design parameter about the current sensor.At last, we summarize our study and give the future amelioration.
