Research And Realization Of Workflow Engine Based On Service-Oriented Architecture

Workflow Management System, a software system which identifies and manages the workflow of enterprise. The predetermined logic in the system act as a blueprint for the workflow steps, it provides a platform for enterprise to customize their work procedure.Nowadays, with the development of web service, the new workflow management system becomes more and more powerful and flexible as the web service can divide the implement of atomic workflow from the server hosting workflow management system. Unlike the traditional workflow model, the new one runs the implementation on the service provider but not the workflow management system host. And by so doing, it helps the service provider upgrade and manage products, as well as integrate other products. This paper introduce the model through following ways(1) Introduced the content of workflow and the history of its development. Then analyze the current workflow productions and models.(2) Introduced the identification, construction, and application of workflow management system. Introduce its components: procedure identify tools, procedure identify system, sub-system and workflow engine, work table and application. In the workflow management system's view, analyze the workflow engine.(3) Based on the analysis of many human resource management project, this essay suggest the separation of human resource logic, such as using profile management, salary management, and insurance management as the atomic model of workflow management. This allows the atomic models to separate and create new combinations with others to allow for flexibility in enterprise.(4) Provided detail descriptions on the workflow management engine and it's effect on each atomic model's organization and flexibility.
