Along with the increasing investment in the national road infrastructure facilities, the maintenance and testing work of high level road infrastructure is becoming more and more arduous. To counter the current artificial tendency of the existing experimental testing work which is time-consuming, strenuous and lowly efficient, the focus of most researches has turned to take digital, video collection and management to the testing and maintenance of the road and its subsidiary infrastructures' information. With the aim of taking the automatic real-time collection and the subsequent maintenance management, in allusion to the characteristic of the maintenance work of highway infrastructure, this thesis aims at designing and realizing the video collection management system of high level road, by the means of automatic information collection platform composed of specifically selected hardware, the computer intelligence technology , the computer network technology, the software development technology, the data processing technology ,the multimedia technology, the data-base technology and other advanced technologies. Detailed descriptions are as follows:At first is the maintenance methods of high level facilities along the road. Among these are the maintenance characteristic of high level road infrastructure, the type generalization of the facilities, the ways of the infrastructures testing and the related evaluation criteria. Based on the research, the statistic appraisal method of infrastructure is also designed in this system.Next is the introduction of the automatic information collection platform of the infrastructure. Based on the analysis of its function and collection method, it adopts professional hardware catering to the power supply and the layout of the platform. Besides, the operation process and advancement of the platform is also illustrated.After the automatic collection platform is constructed, the design and realization of its software can be achieved according to the standard flow of the software design, including the system introduction, development principle, overall design, function design, interface design and implementation technology. Finally, the experimental plan is designed and the vidicon is demarcated, and collection parameters and the threshold value of the image under various circumstances are determinated, the parameter combinations in different exterior conditions are educed and the experiment result is analyzed. The result indicate that the system is of real-time, highly effective in image collection and easy to handle.
