The Study On Application Of Combining MRP With JIT

Presently, China has already become the industrial workshop of the world; the manufacturing industry competition is very intense. Its main competition centers on the fast response to the customer's demand, how to improve the operation system for manufacturing industry in China, and design the low cost, short period, high quality, and high reliable product. In the past, China has already made some researches on MRP and JIT, and has got some achievements. We also noticed that in the academic researches we focused more on the differences between MRP and JIT but we ignore the combination of the two. This thesis will center on the combination of the two methods, and find the best manufacturing system in China.Manufacturing Resource Planning and Just in Time are the most widely used ways of production. How to use the advantages of both of the methods, and combine the two ways together has great importance.This article firstly describes MRP and JIT on their history, development, background, composition and control procedure, run systems well as characteristic function and makes complete contra-analysis with study on features and applicable range of two management methods, then presents mixed use of MRP and JIT with its main characteristics. This article emphasizes MRP/JIT mixed use thoughts in application of manufacturing planning management, raises application method and main cycles. Analysis and study are made on batch optimizing production, main production planning lay-out, important resource planning coordination method and calculation of safety in-advance period with mixed use of MRP/JIT. Furthermore, in response to ability discrepancy occurred in important resource planning lay-out, a theoretical method of multi-project manufacturing planning sequence is raised.
