Facing colorful intangible cultural heritages in Guangxi, the research in cultural changes from the view of journalism and communications would bring us into a new and vast world. The thesis chooses a typical sample in local Guangxi, Folk Songs of the Zhuang Ethnic in Napo County (FSZENC), trying to describe details in Ethnography, and observing the influence of television to the intangible cultural heritage. With deep interview and field work about the development of television in rural areas in 8 villages of Napo County, the thesis focuses on its influence affecting local masters and singers of folk songs, common villagers, families and communities, all of which would make out developing changes between television and FSZENC.The influence of television lies in its process, and the ultimate aim of television is human being (the viewer). What the television affects mainly focuses on the viewer and cultural environment, comparing to the safeguarding of the intangible cultural heritage (ICH), which emphasizes on heritage agency and the whole safeguarding. When the viewer is corresponding with heritage agency, and cultural environment with the whole safeguarding, the television thus makes out some necessary relationships with the ICH safeguarding. Summarizing from the most vivid material, the thesis describes viewer's families, languages and culture in their rural areas, then further suggests that the relationship between viewers and their families, their languages and their culture should be considered in the ICH safeguarding, which shows in the way of the whole safeguarding. And then, that television technique pluses context reconstruction is a powerful approach to record those ICHs on the verge of extinction. However, it must be pointed out that the context reconstruction here has to be done with a restricted way so as to keep it from departing from the rule of authenticity in the ICH safeguarding. Such research would not only richen the communicating contents but also support new views for the safeguarding of the intangible cultural heritage.
