Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is a new technology of AutomaticIdentification, which has been successfully applied in the logistics, traffic and military, and it will be made great development in the future.The background of this thesis is the design of 13.56M RFID system. In this paper, the hardware platform of the RFID RWD(read/write device) system is discussed. The uplink coder and the downlink decoder based on FPGA are developed, and the result of simulation is analyzed too. The author also proposed a tag identification and anticollision Alg and implemented it on the LPC2210 MCU platform.This thesis consists of five chapters. Chapter one is the preface. In this chapter, the origin and the advantage of this project are discussed, and the development of RFID is introduced. In chapter two, the principle of RFID technology,the construction and the category of RFID system are discussed. The IS015693 international standard is emphasized. In chapter three, the construction of RFID RWD is discussed in detail. The design of the different circuits in the system and the adjustment are discussed too. In chapter four, the digital system design based on FPGA and the tag identification Alg are presented. In chapter five, the main work of this thesis is summarized. Also, it puts forward some problems to be investigated deeply in future.
