With the open of our country's product oil market and the rapid growth of car sales in our county, the gas stations are appearing rapid dilation posture. The fierce competition domestic oil retail market puts forward severe challenge to the gas stations retail management. How to realize automation and information of the retail as soon as possible become the important means of elevating the gas stations retail management.This article aims at domestic gas stations'requirements and established the gas station automation management system based on neural networks. It's principles are increasing efficiency, decreasing faults, cutting down cost and enhancing trustiness. It's foundations are software engineering's principle and method. The main contents as follows.(1) Based on the neural networks, we established oil tank failure diagnosis subsystem. It can discover the oil tank's malfunctions in time and carry out failure diagnosis. This reduces the economic losses of the gas stations.(2) It aims at the problems of that oil tank volume tables are not exact commonly and oil tank's volume can't be probed visually and puts forward the method of using interpolation algorithm to calculate the oil tank's volume at real time. This improves the calculating accuracy greatly and can monitor administrant to make correct judgments.(3) It uses InterBase database management system to establish the system database. (4) It exploits the gas station automation management subsystem by using the OO technology. It realizes some functions such as system management, business management, customer management, data optimization, and it has the characteristics of good interface, stable performance and easier to safeguard.(5) It does modularization design for every parts of this system and gives flow chart for each module.
