An Experimental Research To Network Information Retrieval

With the development of network information environment, the digital network information become the primary sources for humankind. Information retrieval is the prime method to gain the network information. So it is very important to clarify the feature and principle of network information retrieval.The author discusses the present research situation of network information retrieval in three aspects: demonstrational research, theory research and research method, discovers the primary research feature and the main defects about the network information retrieval, and then he points out it is very necessary and feasible to study the network information retrieval through experiment.The connotation of information & network information, information user & network information user, information retrieval and network information retrieval are defined. The primary challenges to network information retrieval are given, the structure and mechanism to search engine are presented, and the main models and techniques to network information retrieval are discussed.Based on the information retrieval theory, a three-stage network information retrieval model is presented. According to the model, the main and difficulty experimental content are given, the questionnaire is designed, and the primary methods are set. After the experimental data being analyzed, some rules and features are discovered, some reasons are discussed, and some details about the three-stage retrieval model are analyzed.At last, the theoretical and practical values are analyzed, the main innovations are displayed, the defects about the experiment are discovered, and some ideas about the future research are presented.
