With the development of industrial control, some application field is facing higher and newer requirement. These applications have the feature of covering a wide range and distributing control point or the object is always moving. So how to realize the monitoring and controlling them efficiently and economically, it is a new subject submitted to us. In this article, we integrate advanced technologies such as intelligent instrument, mobile communication, Internet, RTOS and microelectronics to realize wireless monitoring terminal based on GPRS. All this totally breaks the limit of district and the traditional net framework and provides a cheap, reliable solution.First, the article analyzed the research background, status and inadequacy to bring forward the rearch goal. Second,Ⅰstudied the correlative technology to provide theoretical basis for the research of wireless monitoring terminal,Ⅰanalyzed and devised the wireless communication mode, and choiced GPRS. Then is the systemic description of China Mobile Communication System, GSM and GPRS and the theory and feature of SMS and GPRS. Here provides enough knowledge for further research.In the article, we combine the feature of remote control system, SMS and GPRS and put forward the design of remote control terminal based on mobile platform. This terminal can transmit data in SMS and GPRS. This paper introduce the design and realization of the terminal hardware and software especially. The realization of GPRS data transmitting is to change the method of PPP dialer, which simplify the process of TCP/IP realization and improve the stabilization of this terminal. We analyze the protocol for GPRS data transmitting, provide the process of transplanting the EOS-uClinux and realization of PPP. We analyze the process of logging when we use the optimized protocol. The thesis provided a new idea and method for the wireless monitoring system, lt also improves some problems in the research of wireless monitoring terminal, it is a good reference to other transmission system based on wireless communication.According to the development of technology, in the end of the article, we point out some problems needing to be optimized and the developing direction in the future.
