The Radio Control Clock(RCC) is the IC chip based on the JAZZ 0.35μm BiCMOS PDM(Poly Double Metal) process for Beijing Meixinhua Ltd.. This IC chip receives the signal from the National Time Centre. Then the signal is amplified and demodulated to get the standard time code. Compared with the conventional timer, the designed IC chip has more high precision, longer life, less volume, lower power consumption and broadly application.The RCC is the bipolar analog integrated circuit. The chip layout structure is divided into the core section and the I/O pad. there are six important function sections, including BIAS, RF_AMP, DEMOD, PKDETECT, AGC and COMP. The three levels amplifying structure are used in the AGC, the two levels filter is applied, and two kinds of output mode are adopted in the COMP.Based on the design and detailed analysis, the circuit is simulated in the form of netlist. According to the low frequency character of base band signal, the large signal method and small signal method are applied to simulate the circuit respectively. So the circumstance of simulation is nearer to the real condition. The feedback part is simulated with open-loop structure and closed-loop structure. The target of design is that the input signal is 0.2μV~25mV, the gain range of AGC is -40dB~53dB, the work voltage is 1.2V~5.5V, the most large power is 0.22mW, the smallest width of negative pulse is 100ms, the range of output voltage is 0.3V~(VDD-0.3)V. The simulating results show that the performance accords with or better than the design target.All works are accomplished with PC and the SUN working station. The Workview office system is used for circuit design, Hspice is applied for the simulation of the function and performance in the design. The fabrication library is "h035mixddst02v13.lib", and the 0.35μm device model and standard cell library come from Beijing Meixinhua Ltd..
