Research And Design Of Embedded Network Video Monitoring System

Embedded network video monitoring system is a new digital video monitoring system based on embedded system technology, video technology and real time network transport technology. Compared to the old video monitoring system, it has many advantages, such as stability, real time performance, functions and price etc. It is also the direction of research and development in video monitoring system.The embedded network video monitoring system is designed based on monitoring the factory section of Siping Haohua chemical industry Ltd.. It can ensure that security checking personnel can monitor and manage the factory section at real time and the security management of staff, wealth, goods would be more scientific.The DSP plus FPGA structure is adopted to the monitoring system video server designed in the dissertation which has the biggest characteristics as follows: Flexible structure which is in strong common use and suitable for modularization design, thus the arithmetic efficiency is improved; Short exploitation cycle make the system easy to be maintained and expanded, which is fit for the real time signal process. The up to date low code rate video compress criterion H.264 is adopted to the system. It has a definite meaning and value for the study of multimedia communication to carry out the H.264 arithmetic on DSP. It can also make the coder obtain better image quality and coding performance as well as be convenient for fidelity transmission on computer system and network which reach the chemical plant requirement for real time performance and reliability of surveillance system. The Streaming Media technique and the RTP/RTCP protocol suitable for video transmission are adopted to the video transmission technique. Finally, according to existing network condition of Siping Haohua chemical industry Ltd. the network structure project of the whole mornitoring system is designed to guarantees the advanced nature, flexibility, real-time performance and reliability of monitoring system, which is in favor of the running maintenance.
