The FOG Strapdown Inertial Navigation System is an important trend in the development of marine navigation system. This paper researched on the application of high-performance floating-point digital signal processor(DSP) in SINS. And a new scheme to design the strapdown information processing hardware platform, which is based on the TMS320C6713B, was proposed.Firstly, the main components of the FOG SINS and configuration of the platform were presented while the essential theory of the FOG and the SINS was introduced in this paperSecondly, the hardware and bottom software design of this platform was discussed in detail. The hardware design is consist of the DSP peripheral circuits, gyroscope data collection circuit and accelerometer signal collection circuit. In the design, the data interface timing circuit of FOG was taken into consideration. Some measures, such as separating the analog and digital ground, decoupling and optimizing the layout, were taken to improve the EMC of the PCB. At the same time, the program design of initialization parameter setting, McBSP to UART and system bootloader was discussed in detail when the system control program flow was presented firstly in software design.Lastly, the basic parameters of this hardware platform were tested and some representative problems encountered in the hardware test and software debugging process was analyzed. Besides, the test data of the static FOG strapdown system which proved the platform works stably and reliably was presented and analyzed in the paper.The design and implementation of strapdown information processing hardware platform with good stability and scalability enriched the functions, improved the accuracy and the real-time ability of strapdown system.
