Strapdown inertial navigation system is a kind of very advanced inertial navigation system. In the SINS, mathematics platform is used to calculate the real-time attitude matrix by navigation computer,comparing with platform inertial navigation system, strapdown inertial navigation system possesses such characters as small size, light weight, low cost, and high reliability, it is present or later direction of development of INS;the FOG has been put into application in many ways since the birth, this is all for its many outstanding advantages—longevity,large dynamic scope,quick-reaction,simple structure ,small size and low weight,absolute solid state,this paper study the design of the FOG strapdown navigation system , completes the design of hardware and software for system board by the background of the practical engineering project.Aim at the application in real that the insufficient data collection precision of accelerometer and the much complicated read-write way of initialization data,this paper brings out the holistic and fire-new design, firstly, the paper introduces the element theory of the FOG and the strapdown navigation system—the theoretical base for the system design; also analyses the theory of∑-ΔA/D,comparing the two ways of accelerometer data collection,this paper points out the superiority of the ameliorated way, the way of optimized design of data collection is also given.this paper mainly introduces the construct of hardware and software design of FPGA and DSP.The hardware of FOG strapdown navigation system board is constructed on DSP and FPGA,the other parts of hardware are build around DSP and FPGA—the trunk construction to complete their function,they are the collection circuit of gyroscope data,the collection circuit of accelerometer data, the collection circuit of temperature data,the outside communication interface circuit,the boot loader circuit and the power circuit.DSP concentrates on the Strapdown algorithm solution calculates, at the same time,DSP also exchages data with the outside;FPGA plays the connection role between DSP and each kind of sensor,it is similar to the one front end part of DSP.It is proved that this design meets the require of FOG strapdown navigation data processing system,it provides good base for further miniaturization design of system board.
