The Realization Of VME Bus Multi-channel Data Acquisition System

In our age, new technology emerges in endlessly, but VME bus technology has existed for more than 20 years and still kept popular. So it is necessary for us to do some research in this field.The VME bus data collecting system is studied in the paper. The VME bus transferring mechanism is taked as the design object, the overall scheme of the VME bus data collecting system is given in the paper, and each module also is described in detail.The data transmission logic design and the VHDL programming are accomplished. A16/D16 VME bus data transfer function is realized using state machine. A/D data collecting module logic design, the DAC time sequence with DSP interface HPI designs, DSP programming, and functional debugging are tested. Testing software programming includes the hardware driver program and apllied program are given in LabVIEW languge. The work of the paper laid the base on the farther VME bus application.The data gathering, transmission and demonstration are realized in this article. Along with the VME protocol development, VME bus will continue to obtain the wide application.
