Along with the development of the modern radar, the function of radar has been continually enhanced and the complexity of systems has been improved. The more demand has been brought forward for the technological index of radar system such as reliability, maintainability and maneuverability. In the development process of radar, we can adopt some efficient technology to improve the reliability. But it can not be improved without limit because of many factors such as component's aging and invalidation, exterior circumstance deterioration. As an optimal scheme of the radar system development, we can properly increase the reliable redundant equipment and detection equipment to improve the radar's reliability and maintainability on the premise of a certain reliability of radar system. So the modern radar has been brought forward the build-in test system which is based on the long-term experience. The requirement for BIT of radar is more and more highly with the technology development. So the user and the developer of radar system must demonstrate and design the fault and capability detection during the early period of radar development.This paper firstly explore the reliability and state monitoring of radar system, which mainly elaborate the realizable structure of BIT system and theory of failure location based on the fault tree arithmetic. We also used the Winpcap to realize the real-time monitoring as toward to the network environment of radar system, analyzed the interior data, realized the failure location and the presented the solution.
