For years, Digital image processing is a newly developed subject. Because it has the characteristics of high-quality processing precision, abundance contents, agility and conveniency, etc. It has been widely applied to several realms such as obvious-tiny imaging, biomedicine, intelligent traffic, analysis measure, machinery vision, industry image analysis, aeronautics and astronautics, and more another high-quality image process and analysis realms.This dissertation is devoted to the research on automatic scoring system for bullet firing, which is one of the applications of digital image processing .Its research object is with circle-loop-target that is used in light guns shooting, The research begins from a video signals that gain from the CCD video camera shooting at the firing, by means of designing the Video Switches Circuit to choice,transfers those multi-route videos, and use the image gathering card to gather and transmit the video image to digital images, mainly research the image pre-treatment and aim recognition about the target image information, gain the shoot grades, that is, target loop counts, finally by way of the serial communication of the computer, the shot-hit-point display circuit would obtain the Target loop counts which are processed images so as to realize the design and practice of the entire automatic scoring system.This dissertation mainly includes several following aspects: 1,Based on digital image processing, to be a comprehensive design for the automatic scoring system which is used in light guns firing, and put forward the practice way for the software and hardware of all the unit modules; 2,It has achieved elliptical geometry emendation through the image pre-treatment during the live photo. In the basis of result, it takes use of the ways of image fusion techniques,wavelet transform and Hough transform while combining with the image geometry characteristic to solve the obstacle of shot-hit-point recognition,bull's-eye recognition and circle-loop-target recognition when processing images. 3,Design the multi-route Video Switch Circuit and the Shot-hit-point display circuit, it has enabled the system realize the functions that multi-targets could automatically report target grades, and the shooter can observe the shooting effect through display screen while firing. 4,Use the development package that is addicted to the image gathering card to obtain the target's digital images , use API communication function and RS-485 serial communication bus, realized long distance communication and long-distance control between the host computer and the unit circuit, enable system achieve the requirement when it is put into practice.
