A Representation Study Of The College Image On Newspapers

After analysis of the news and reports of People's Daily,through content analysis and discourse analysis,the author discusses the current situation of the college's representation.It has found that People's Daily gives the readers a kind of political representation about college as a party newspaper. Southern Weekly puts the issue in the social systems as a weekly.West China Metropolis Daily gives the people a kind of multirepresentation based on the market as a mass newspaper.The difference can be found in two ways:one is the college teachers'images relative absence;the other is that the ideas in different newspaper are self-contradictory. Compared with the relative studies,the author pays special attention to presentional process rather than the positive image or negative image.
