Synthesis Of CD-R Storage Medium And Investigation On Its Lightfastness

The emergence of optical storage technology with high density and long lifetime is a great event in information science and technology. The storage medium is still the key point in optical storage field. Compared with the inorganic materials, the organic materials have many advantages, such as high sensitivity, easy processing and easy structure-adjusting. At present, the wide-used organic optical storage medium includes cyanine dye, phthalocyanine dye and azo dye mainly. Compared with other dye, cyanine dye has good dissolvity, easy preparing and low cost, so people are paying more and more attention to the cyanine dye which has great potential for research and application in the part of optical disc storage.In this paper, the concise overview of CD-R dye is given, including the mechanics of recording, the kind of recording medium and spin-coating and edge washing.This paper is organized as follows:1. Synthesizing four optical disc cyanine dyes: (1) 3,3,3',3'-tetramethyl-1,1'-di-n-butylindotricarbocyanine perchlorate (2) 3,3,3',3'-tetramethyl-1,1'-di-n-butylbenzoindotricarbocyanine perchlorate (3) 3,3,3',3'-tetramethyl-1,1'-di-n-butylindodicarbocyanine perchlorate (4) 3,3,3',3'-tetramethyl-1,1'-di-n-butylbenzoindodicarbocyanine perchlorate2. Synthesizing two singlet oxygen quenchers: (1) 4-morpholinosulfonyl-1,2-benzenedithiol nickel complex (2) 4-N,N-diethylsulfamoyl-1,2-benzenedithiol nickel complex3. Synthesizing two companion ion compounds: (1)morpholine counter ion compounds (2)diethylmine counter ion compounds4. The structure of the compounds described above is characterized by IR and 1H-NMR, the result is in accordance with the data of theory. The optical absorbance spectrum of the cyanine dye is determined by UV spectrophotometer. Exposing the cyanine dyes to I-Wu lamp for a long time show that the light resistance of cyanine dye is improved obviously after the singlet oxygen quencher is added to it.
