Although the presentsituationthepublicstillcannotfeeltheobviouschanges,thehospitalpresidenthas been dear in his mind that aches would be coming. How to improve thequality of hospital service and to ascribe the patients as the center is theproblems to which medical treatment faces up to the competition of theforeign-invested medical relating necessarily. But that the medicalinformationization's level being high or low is the important quality indexwhich evaluates the hospital's comprehensive strength. In the developedcountry it has been an important symbol of evaluating whether or not ahospital has good image and advancement whether it possesses a hospitalinformation system of integral function or not. It is the crux of the matter thatcan raises the management level of existing hospital and explores the systemby advanced the software technology in devising and exploring a HIS systemwhich has a high scalability. The paper is backed with the project of 999hospital of ShenZhen, and takes drug storage management system as anexampletoexpound.After introducing the current situation of the development of theinformation system of the hospital and the two layers strctrue and three layersstructure,the paper indicates that to use Windows DNA system structure, andadoptprogramdesigntheorybasedonCOMtoguidesystemdevelopment canset up application system having high scalability, thus solve all sorts oftechnologic difficulties that existing HIS system faced with.Windows DNA isthe strategic structure for the distributed application based on component ofMicrosoft. It is based on COM component and combined COM + services toimplement the distributing operating environment. Three layers structure ofWindowsDNAaregenerallydividedintouser's interfacelayer,businesslogiclayer and data stored layer. Each layer is relatively independently, andcommunicationbetweenlayersisthroughpublicinterface.Theloosecouplingbetween layers can simplify program design, and improve scalability ofprogram.Three layers structure of Windows DNA is more rational, has morescalability than C/S/ and B/S structure.The paper has studied and probed intothe Windows DNA, and had set up drug storage subsystem based onWindows.As the core of Windows DNA, COM and COM + technologyconglutinate and link up DNA's each layer. COM is a model designed byMicrosoft adopting component design method.It defines communicationstandard between components.The design method based on component hasinherited and developed object-oriented programming design method (OOP).It applies object technology to system design and abstracts OOP realizationprocess further.The design method based on component emphasizes the realsoftwarereuseandstrongcooperation.Usingthedesignmethodofcomponentbased on COM, we can design and realize the component having good reuseand extension,and lay a solid foundation for setting up an application havinghigh scalability. COM + is developed on the basis of COM, includes themerits of DCOM and MTS, and offers more system services and goodsolutionfordeveloperonhowtosetupanapplicationwithhighscalability.After mastering Windows DNA system structure based on COM+technology,we can use it to design HIS system having good scalability. Whenanalyzing main business logic and workflow of drug storage, functionsneeding to finish in system are summed up. Then Rational Rose 2000 is usedtoset upsystem modelinganddrawtheblueprint ofwholesystem for guidingsystem development. At the time of the demand analysis,analyse thesynthetical requisition to the system(including the fuction demand,theperformance demand and the working demand)and the data demand thendefine the system's logical model.In the part of the whole design introducesimplely the design of the each layer in the system's three layersstructure.when detailed designing, introduce that how to realize the concretedesignofthemiddlecomponent andtheinterface ofcomponent as interfaceistheonlywaytoserve client.Because ofthesteadiness of component interface,designed interface seldom allows to change, otherwise there would bringsome mistakes when some existing applications use the interface. We usePower Designer 8 to design database with the rule of assuring integrality ofthedata.After finishing system design,we regard this as the blueprint and realizedrug storage's system progressively. During process of realizing,we use SQLServer2000 to set up the data base,use VC6.0 to compile COM interface,useVB 6.0 to realize the front desk system.After completing development ofmiddle business component,we configure and deploy COM + applicationprogram at special component server through MMC in order to provideservices for client. The paper introduces the process of how to realize thesekey technologies, and expounds how to configure and deploy COM +application program.
