A combined cycle power plant, which combines a gas turbine, a heat recover steam generator and a steam turbine, has the increasingly important effect in power generation industry, because of its high efficiency and low exhaustion advantages. The major dynamics of combined cycle power plant include multivariable, coupling, nonlinearities behavior, large time delays, and uncertainties. Traditional PID control strategy could not offer satisfactory result. To resolve this problem, an advanced control strategy– predictive control is proposed, and its simulation result shows excellent tracking performance. Finally, this paper further apply predictive control into gasifier in integrated gasification combined cycle(IGCC)power plant, solve constrained model predictive control by use of quadratic programming algorithm, which establishes solid foundation for theory research to engineering...
