With the development of communication and societyInternet is becoming more and more important in every parts of people's life. Because simple word and static picture information can not satisfy people's need, multimedia technology become popularity in network area. Stream-media, a conjunct produce between multimedia and network, turn into a focus of the internet. To provide people with more diversified entertainment, educational and business services will be a hot point of the Internet era. Streaming-media technology is the core to achieve. Traditional C/S media service system can no longer meet the needs of huge users. We need a new network architecture to meet the streaming-media service system for network bandwidth and server performance requirements. Researchers have proposed using IP Multicast and edge content distribution servers, and other methods. But all of the methods have there own limitation, they can not afford huge users' needs. The emergence of P2P technology solves the problem. It uses the resources of the ordinary user to solve the system capacity and scalability. It supports large-scale users by multicast in the application layer.This paper analyzes the streaming media technology and the characteristics of the major file formats. Introduce the two common Streaming Media Video structure in Detail, and experimentally demonstrate streaming media video files suitable for transmission of P2P. Then analyze and compare the advantages and disadvantages of existing peer-to-peer topology. Get the difference between scalability, reliability and efficiency. According to the results of the analysis, using information and communication protocol, blocking algorithm and selection algorithm to improve system performance, I designed a the video streaming media system P2P-Video of scalable, high reliability and control individual users on P2P structure. The system has three entities: content server, tracking server and client. Client can find new user by tracking server. Client gets the cyclical broadcast data from content server and other clients. The video streaming media system has the following features: 1, scalability, the more users the better system performance. 2, high stability, it supports the client node at any time to join or withdraw from the system. 3, Load balancing, it can improve network data copy of performance and network connectivity by good blocking algorithm and selection algorithm. 4, it can control single client to exit from the system. It will good perform in the user authentication control.
